Barbara J. Halron
Chancellor's Award 2008 UWGB Juried Student Art Exhibit
I have had a life-long passion for art. After many years of
teaching art and having the opportunity to see the world through
many eyes, I realize that in order to make art and to build one’s
personal visual vocabulary one must look within. Discovering
who we are and finding the tranquility of who we have become
through navigating a variety of struggling paths our life’s journey
is a never-ending mystery and that is the beauty that I long to
portray in my own artwork. I am at a turning point in my life
where I now can look back and reflect on the map I have
created and dream about how to visually construct artwork that
will represent my layers of life.
