Jo Watson on Oil Painting:
Ever since I started painting in oils, my passion
has been for the landscape. Although this demo
is meant to show the stages in the layered
technique of Oil Painting known as the indirect
method, I also enjoy painting En Plein Air in the
alla prima method. I consider myself a colorist
and try to capture the colors, patterns, textures
and shapes abundant in nature.
Jo also teaches classes at her home
studio in Oil Painting, Printmaking and
Drawing.
