I have always been interested in drawing since I could
hold a pencil, so no one in my family was surprised when I
wanted to study art in college. I earned my degree in art
from the University of WI, Madison, during the time when
art was not really taught-- everything was free form and art
for art's sake was the thing. I really learned how to paint
later in life when I took workshops directed at what I
wanted to learn, mainly watercolor. I now am having a
wonderful time exploring all mediums.
